Kadapa Students Tops in JEE Advanced-2016


Students from the two Telugu-speaking states excelled in JEE Advanced-2016 whose results were announced on Sunday. Five students from, the region, who featured in the top-10 rankers list, are keen on taking up computer science at IIT(Bombay). Twenty-nine Telugu students made their way to the top-100 rankers' list.

Sai Praneeth Reddy, who got the 8th rank in JEE Advanced, said he aimed to establish his own software company in Rayalaseema. Praneeth hails from Kadapa head-quarters and his father K. Rajagopal Reddy is an assistant executive engineer with the vigilance and enforcement department there.

Praneeth, who has studied at Hyderabad Public School (for his 7th and 8th standards and Gudivada (for his 9th and 10th standards), did his Intermediate from Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Hyderabad "I am very happy I got a good rank in JEE," Praneeth said adding that his parents' co-operation helped him reach the top 10.

His father said that he was very proud of his son's plans to serve society by establishing his own company after successful completion of the course.

A large number of students from Rayalaseema shone in the JEE advanced along with Praneeth. Kancharla Mahidhar Reddy of Balur in Kondur mandal in Kadapa district got the 28th rank. His father Rammohan Reddy is a teacher at a government school in Kondur. K. Manoj, aga Mithun. Reddy, Uma and several others from Kadapa also got impressive ranks.


YSR Congress president Y S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday applauded the IIT-JEE Advanced exam toppers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Twitter saying, "Congratulations to IIT-JEE advanced exam toppers from our Telugu states. All the best for a bright future.
