APSET (Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test) on September 11th 2016

Andhra University would release a notification for APSET (Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test) on June 22 and the exam would be conducted on September 11. Andhra University interim Vice Chancellor, Prof. E.A. Narayana said, here that the UGC has allowed Andhra University to conduct three State Eligibility Test (SET) examinations during the next three years (once a year) on behalf of the state government. “Based on the pattern of NET, the APSET is held in 31 subjects. 
The notification would be released on June 22 and the online applications would be accepted from June 30. Eligibility in SET/NET is considered for recruitment of lectures and assistant professors in universities, degree colleges and institutes of higher learning and for carrying out research work,” he said.
July 25 is the last date for submission of online applications without late fee (only registration fee). With a late fee of Rs. 1,000 (plus registration fee), students can apply till August 5. With a late fee of Rs. 2,000 (plus registration fee) and Rs  5,000 registration fee),students can apply till August 10 and September 1 respectively.
The examination would be held in six cities on September 11 Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Guntur, Nellore, Anantapur and Tirupati. AU registrar Prof. Umamaheswara Rao and APS ET convener Prof. K. Srinivasa Rao were also present.
